Check out what we have been doing and what we are up to!!!

I have a new studio for painting and inspiration! My husband
loves
to hunt, so while he is doing that, I will be creating.
It is a great place on a ridge in the hills of Wisconsin. I
welcome new students.

If you want to make great
art.....remember to paint outside of the lines!!!
On
a beautiful day in the
Spring
of the year
we all came
together from points
everywhere
Our plan to
spend
the weekend in
a a log cabin together
Missouri,
being the
farthest with
a mother and daughter
Friends
added to
the group, each
one as they arrived.
When we left
home
we had 10 with
4 to drive.
On the way
we
picked up Mars my
little cousin
She was so
excited
and had
cookies
made by the dozen.
Up
through the country and
over
the ridges we would go.
The scenery
was
breathtaking and
trees were bloomed for show.
Entered the
Kickapoo Valley and
the town of Rockton, Wisconsin
There was
our good
friend Mern
reading a book and relaxing!
We all had a
hug
and the count
was now a dozen strong.
With a group
like
this, how could
anything possibly go wrong!
The
soap lady was precious and
her
goods smelled so great
Then we went
to the
cabin, had
a fire outside and ate.
Sitting
around the
fire eating
chili and singing loud.
Getting to
know
each other and
laughing with our crowd.!
The cabins
were
beautiful and set
way back on a trail
Standing on
the
porch real quiet
we could hear nature wail!
Cameras
were flashing
everywhere
that we looked.
Some were
making
sandwiches so
we didn’t have to cook.
Taking a
picnic
lunch was the way
to take our Amish tour
It was going
to be
a fun day of
learning and laughing for sure!
We went to a
bakery
run by an
Amish
lady with ten kids of her own.
Her husband
had
died from a buggy
wreck and she was left all alone.
Then
we went to a bent hickory
shop
where beautiful chairs were built
Our next
stop was a
cheese shop
where the Amish bring their milk.
Driving
around we
looked at all
the beautiful Amish places
we saw
people
working in
gardens and flowers with such interesting faces.
Our
last stop on the tour was
a
large place owned by "Rufus", what a man!
He is the
father of
14 daughters
and 5 sons to help him work his land
The girls
and the
mother make
beautiful
quilts while the boys make wood items
The quality
was
exceptional and
all done by hand with no electricity used on them.
The
trip to the Kickapoo was a
wonderful
experience for us all.
As women we
bonded
and want to
keep in contact by e-mail or call.
There is
nothing to
match the
good
times with a group of friends
to fill your
heart
and make all
of our troubles and hurts mend.
I had the
greatest
time with
friends
from so many places.
you are
beautiful
women with the
most gorgeous of faces.
Since beauty
does
not only show
from the top but also your soul
It
seeps out
of your pours
and comes from your heart down to your toes.
You have all
shown
such love and
affection as friends.
I just want
you to
know that you
will all be my friend till the end......
